Volunteer Requirements
Please review these requirements before completing your application
Age Requirement
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old. Volunteers aged 16-17 require parental consent and supervision for certain activities.
Time Commitment
Minimum commitment of 4 hours per week. Consistent scheduling helps us provide better care for our animals.
Orientation & Training
All volunteers must complete an orientation session and general animal-care training before beginning volunteer work.
Background Check
A basic background check is required for all volunteers working directly with animals or in administrative roles.
Physical Ability
Some roles require physical activity including standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds. We have various roles to accommodate different abilities.
Reliability & Commitment
Punctuality and reliability are essential. Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot make your scheduled shift.
