EARS Rescue Raffle at Get Rescued in Gulfport, 2026

Every year there is an event in Gulfport known as Get Rescued. This event allows us to show off many of our beloved pups from our shelter as well as fundraise with raffle baskets to earn money for the most immediate needs of the rescue.

This year was a massive success. Several improvements helped us make the best out of this event. First, thanks to the help of our volunteers, we were able to make many more raffle baskets for the event than years past (12 baskets total)! Along with more baskets, we were also able to accept donations through card this year, which gave many more people to opportunity to help out.

This year, all the proceeds of our raffle went to one of our most beloved residents at the rescue. Barnaby, a young border collie, arrived at our shelter with a severe leg injury and due to this injury he needs immediate medical attention. These expenses are quick to build up, but thanks to events like Get Rescued, we’re able to raise money to help give this pup another chance at a normal life.

As well as donations, this event gives us the chance to showcase many of our adoptables. The community was able to stop by and give these dogs some love and attention, which they appreciated very much.
